Sharon Dolin is the author of five books of poetry: Whirlwind (newly released from the University of Pittsburgh Press this fall); Burn and Dodge (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2008), which won the AWP Donald Hall Prize in Poetry; Realm of the Possible (Four Way Books, 2004); Serious Pink (Marsh Hawk Press, 2003); and Heart Work (Sheep Meadow Press, 1995). Her aphoristic sequences have appeared in Hotel Amerika and The Kenyon Review Online and a new sequence of New York Aphorisms is forthcoming this fall in Fourth Genre. She has been a Fulbright Scholar to Italy and a recent Pushcart Prize winner. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Cornell University, where she also received a B.A., Magna cum laude in English, and she has an M.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley. She lives in New York City, where she teaches at The Unterberg Poetry Center of the 92nd Street Y and directs The Center for Book Arts Annual Letterpress Poetry Chapbook Competition. This academic year, she is a Visiting Professor at Hofstra University.
